Management

by Tama

Hyun Suk found the first one in the basement, hiding in a corner with a Korean-English dictionary clutched to his chest and babbling broken bits of English. Frowning, he managed to coax Sang Chul out of hiding and get him to explain what happened. After assuring him that he'd be managing Swi.T from now on, and that they were very nice and didn't speak a word of English, he made his way back to his office. He'd need to find a replacement and quick. Perry had barely begun his promotion activities and he already was without a manager.

Hyun Suk finally settled on Ji Oon, figuring as an experienced manager with a good grasp of English he shouldn't have any problem handling Perry "miniature storm" Borja.

Ji Oon came back to his office twenty minutes later, sporting a black eye, and flatly demanding to work with someone else. From what Hyun Suk managed to pry out of Perry, Ji Oon had used the word "fag" in reference to his favorite pair of daisy dukes with the rainbow patch. Hyun Suk made a note to have Perry meet his next manager in a neutral setting.

Jin Suk was actually just a newly-hired assistant-manager, but Hyun Suk thought he had potential and a great ass, so he gave him the job and told him to meet Perry in the lounge room at ten the next morning. When he came into his office at three, Jin Suk was waiting to see him and handed in his resignation to a very confused Hyun Suk. Apparently, Perry had shown him a few fun things, and Jin Suk couldn't bear to face him the next morning.

Hyun Suk took a chance by telling Jung Pil to work with Perry. Jung Pil was a very good assistant-manager, but he didn't speak much English. After Perry (who insisted on driving himself) turned up at the wrong building for the second time, YG gave in and appointed Hun Pyo to act as an assistant to the assistant-manager. He knew Hun Pyo and Perry got along, and even if Hun Pyo was actually a photographer, he did speak English better than Jung Pil and could translate.

When it became apparent Hun Pyo had photographer-ly things to do and couldn't be around much, Hyun Suk asked Jung Bom, who helped managed JinuSean, to lend a hand. Everything was just fine, until JS got busy and Perry found himself without an English-speaking assistant-manager.

Hyun Suk broke down and asked Min Suk to step in, because he spoke English, and everyone knew Min Suk could do anything. He even promised Min Suk a pay raise and a batch of cookies from Jinu.

A few days later, Hyun Suk peeked into Perry's studio and blinked when saw the head of the finance department (and Min Suk's subordinate), Lee Gyu Hoon, showing Perry his performing schedule for the next few weeks. He didn't say anything, because at least the job was getting done. (He hoped.)

The next day, it was Yong Seo, Gyu Hoon's secretary, who was telling Perry where his next performance was, and Hyun Suk told himself he'd find someone to appoint who was actually a manager first thing tomorrow. When he got a call from Perry congratulating him on choosing a "cool guy" as his new manager, Hyun Suk silently thanked his lucky stars Min Suk had fixed the problem for him.

It was only when Perry asked him where "Kim Hyun" had gone, and why did he have a new, female manager that Hyun Suk had to check if they employed anyone by that name. It turns out no one on the payroll matched Perry's description, but at least Perry got to his performances on time.

Kim Kyung Mi was the last person Hyun Suk would have picked for the job, but it turned out she was quite good at it (and she walked into his office in a moment of despair). When she complained that she was doing five people's job, Hyun Suk agreed and told Min Suk to hire two other assistant-managers for Perry, preferably female, since they seemed to deal with him just fine. At first, Hyun Suk was sure he'd get Perry stomping up to his apartment to complain, but surprisingly good reports came from both sides.

After a few weeks of managerial bliss with his new team, Perry came into his office to tell him he was going back to producing from behind the scenes. Hyun Suk headdesked and told Perry it was okay, then left early and had a nice, relaxing little nap.
